What happens on the day

About two thirds of every course is practical. Delegates leave having done each skill, not just watched it.

    Scene safety and assessment
    DRSABC primary survey, calling 1122, and what to tell the dispatcher.
  2. 10:00
    CPR on adult, child and infant manikins
    Feedback manikins show depth and rate, with AED trainers in every room.
  3. 13:00
    Bleeding, burns, fractures, shock
    Using the kit you actually have on site, plus improvised materials.
  4. 15:30
    Scenario assessment
    A staged incident from your sector. Pass it and the PNIFA certificate is issued the same day, valid for up to three years.
